Prelaw Advisor

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get listed as the sole/coordinating prelaw advisor for my school?

LSAC must receive an official appointment letter from the administrator who is requesting a change or from the sole/coordinating prelaw advisor currently listed in our records. Please email this letter to prelaw@LSAC.org.

How can I reach out to other prelaw advisors or faculty at a law school?

After logging in to your Prelaw Advisor account, click the Directories link on your dashboard. To connect with other prelaw advisors, visit the Prelaw Advisor Directory. To connect with law school faculty, visit the Admission Directory.

Where do I go to find out where my students are applying and see their decisions for law school?

Click on the Prelaw Advisor Info Center link in the site's footer and then Reports. You will be prompted to complete the Confidentiality Agreement before gaining access to the Report Center Screen.

How can I see what the applicants are doing when they register for LSAC services?

First, log in to your prelaw advisor account. From your dashboard, select Application Assistance. Then click on either the JD or LLM Simulation site link. You can create an account in each simulation site to replicate the candidate experience.
